Descripción/Description:
We are offering two 2-years post-doc postions to work in the exploitation of recent/on going remote sensing observations by the instruments NOMAD and ACS on board the ESA+Roscosmos ExoMars Trace Gas Orbiter. The investigations involve the retrieval of lower and upper atmospheric abundances of aerosols and trace species, including the search for hydrocarbons, sulfur and exotic species. Comparisons with and validation of global climate models are also contemplated. The research will be performed at the IAA-CSIC, in Granada, under the grant PGC2018-101836-B-100 (MCIU/AEI/FEDER, EU) led by Dr. M. A. Lopez-Valverde, with the tools available in the Grupo de Atmosferas Planetarias Terrestres (gapt.iaa.es). First access to data and close collaboration with large European teams is granted.
Candidates should have a PhD on Planetary Sciences or related field, and ideally, experience in radiative transfer and remote sensing from space, and ability to tackle original research. All nationalities are welcome. We encourage women and minorities to apply. Interested candidates please contact the IP of the project. More details via the link supplied in this announcement.
