Dear colleagues,

The CIEMAT-Física de Partículas (CIEMAT-FP) group offers eight pre-doctoral contracts for outstanding young graduates to carry out a PhD thesis at CIEMAT in several of our projects spanning the range of Particle Physics, Astroparticle Physics and Cosmology. The CIEMAT-FP group was recognized in 2015 with the María de Maeztu Unit of
Excellence accreditation by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness. This accreditation distinguishes the best research groups that stand out for the relevance and impact of their research outcomes at an international level, significantly contributing to expand the frontiers of knowledge, as well as to the leadership of Spanish science.

These positions are funded by the "La Caixa" Foundation under the INPhINIT programme, a new doctoral fellowship programme devoted to attracting International
Early-Stage Researchers to the top Spanish research centres in the areas of Bio and Health Sciences, Physics, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.

The positions offered are in the context of computing at the LHC, cosmology, the CMS experiment at the LHC, deep learning applications for particle physics, neutrino physics, dark matter direct searches, and gamma and cosmic ray physics.

There are two types of grants, depending on whether you have been in Spain for more than 12 months in the last three years ('Retaining') or not ('Incoming').
