Descripción/Description:

IAA-CSIC is seeking a PhD in Physics with experience in the asteroseismology theory of low mass stars.

Main tasks will include:
-Characterization of planetary parameters through astrosismology of M dwarf stars and exploitation of TESS.
- Design of the strategy for the observational detection of pulsations in M stars with time series of high resolution spectroscopy with state-of-the-art spectrographs such as ESPRESSO. Use of these time series for the detection of planets in nearby orbits.
- Coordination of the exploitation of the data of the TESS space mission for M dwarf stars and photometric monitoring from the Sierra Nevada Observatory and spectroscopy with CARMENES for confirmation and detection of their masses.
- Theoretical simulation of the effects of the oscillation modes in spectroscopic time series of M dwarf stars in the visible and near infrared, in the CARMENES range, in order to obtain the identification of the oscillation modes and the estimation of parameters such as the angle of inclination of the star.
- Analysis of high accuracy photometric data
- Analysis of high resolution spectroscopic time series
- Observations of the asteroseismology of low mass stars

The contract is for 3 years with the possibility of one year extension.
